Our master shingle applicators can do any job, from the simplest repair, to the most complex roofs. Any project as complex as the igloo house requires experienced and precise craftsmanship – exactly what we are proud to offer at Big Sky. We ensure that each shingle is cut to the exact angle and measurement required by the design. The finished product is watertight, impact resistant, and beautiful, demonstrating a combination of experience, reliability, and precise craftsmanship that we, as well as the homeowners, are proud of. No project is too complex for our master roofers.

Big Sky has set a standard for ourselves that no other roofer can match. We go above and beyond the industry standard by doing things such as repairing any rotted decking after we remove the old shingles. Once we make any necessary repairs to the decking we line all the valleys with ice and water shield, which is a 36 inch wide, rubberized, self-adhering water proofing membrane. We use the same material to back up all flashings, which includes all of the critical areas, such as: chimneys, turbines, vent pipes, roof to wall terminations, skylights, etc... We do not use nail guns, every shingle is hand nailed.

Studies show that more than two-thirds of the roof problems that people experience are due to the workmanship—not the materials. This is important to keep in mind when evaluating local firms.

Upon completion, we do a thorough clean-up of the job site, which includes rolling a high powered magnet around the premises to ensure that no metal is left behind. Our intention is for our crew to leave your property as clean as or cleaner than when we arrived. Finally, our production manager inspects the job ensuring that it meets our high standards, only then is payment collected.
